SNIPES partnered with Accrue to reimagine how customers earn rewards and access exclusive drops through a unified wallet experience. Together, we built a rewards-first purchase flow that turns everyday shopping into instant value. Our goal was to unify deposits, in-store purchases, and Reserve Access sneaker drops into a single mobile experience.
As a Product Designer working alongside Accrue, I led end-to-end design across the SNIPES mobile wallet, from funding and checkout to loyalty mechanics and early access to exclusive shoes (Reserve Access). I collaborated closely with product, engineering, and stakeholders to ship scalable patterns that could support high-volume retail while preserving SNIPES’ brand voice. My work focused on simplifying complex payment flows, designing reusable systems, and creating intuitive experiences that drive engagement at scale.

Designing the SNIPES wallet with Accrue quickly showed that this was more than a loyalty challenge, it was a scalability challenge. Customers expected fast checkout, instant rewards, and seamless access to exclusive drops, while the platform also needed to support multiple brands with different workflows and business needs.
Working closely with product and engineering, I identified key friction points across funding, checkout, reward clarity, and Reserve Access. Through interviews, flow audits, and competitive analysis, we uncovered where users dropped off and where complexity slowed users down.

SNIPES required a tailored wallet experience that balanced rewards, Reserve Access drops, and in-store purchases while staying true to their brand. I designed flexible UI patterns that surfaced promotions and sneaker drops in ways that felt native to SNIPES without fragmenting the core experience.

Accrue operates as a fully white-labeled platform, meaning every merchant controls branding, rewards, and customer flows while sharing the same wallet infrastructure. I designed configurable funding, checkout, and Reserve Access experiences that could flex for SNIPES sneaker drops, Westside Market grocery rewards, and Finalsite workflows without breaking consistency.
By building modular components and reusable UX patterns, I made it possible for each brand to customize visuals, copy, and incentives while preserving a familiar experience for users. This reduced engineering rework, sped up merchant launches, and allowed product improvements to scale across every partner.

The core challenge was driving user action: encouraging customers to load cash upfront and follow through with purchases. While users understood the value of rewards, friction in the funding flow and unclear incentives often caused drop off before checkout.
Our goal was to reduce hesitation by simplifying the load cash experience, clearly communicating the benefits, and designing moments that motivate users to act. This meant creating a seamless path from discovery to funding to purchase, while balancing speed, trust, and reward visibility.
To guide our approach, we centered on two key questions:

With these priorities set, we paired stakeholder workshops with user research using tools like Microsoft Clarity to analyze real user behavior. Session recordings and drop off insights helped us identify friction in the load cash and purchase flows, shaping a clear, data informed vision for a more intuitive experience.
